Illinois Railway Museum - Union Illinois, 1992

On the way to Rollag, driving through northern Illinois we passed a sign pointing to Union. I recognized it as the location of Illinois Railway Museum and started bouncing up and down in the seat and shouting, "Turn Here! Turn Here! David turned here, and we spent an enjoyable couple of hours.
It was a weekday approaching Labor Day weekend. The season had pretty well wound down, and there was no steam running and not a lot going on. We got to see a lot of wonderful stuff in the barns, though, and rode a North Shore interurban and a 1914 Chicago streetcar.
