Chicago in October, 2004

In 1996 and 1997 I was treated for head & neck cancer at University of Chicago Hospitals in Hyde Park. Twice a year I go back for checkups; in the fall, I see the oncologist, and in the spring I see the surgeon. I take the South Shore to 57th Street and walk to the clinic, and after my appointments I catch a Metra Electric to Randolph Street and go sightseeing until time for my train back to Indiana. October 5, 2004, was a perfectly clear, sunny autumn day, and I spent most of my time in the vicinity of Millennium Park.
